In line with the EU regulations no. 679/2016 relating to personal data protection (DGPR), and also because we believe that safeguarding personal data is a fundamental value in our business activities, we here provide the following information (privacy policy).

1. Data controller and data protection officer
The data controller is eLexico.com s.r.l. (hereinafter called “eLexico”) with its official business address at Via del Lauro 3, Milan, Italy, as represented by the legal representative. 2. Type of personal data, provision of data and legal grounds

The data to be provided by means of the online form includes:

  1. email address and password to sign up to our site, to download software and to obtain free trial licences;
  2. first name, last name, address, phone number, company details, VAT number and tax code for invoicing purposes;
  3. payment details (credit/debit card information, name of cardholder) in order to proceed with the purchase of our products.

Personal data is required for the following purposes:
2.a. provision of services selected through our website;
2.b. promotional communications, market surveys, economic/statistical analyses and customer satisfaction assessments; the data may also be used for marketing purposes or advertising aimed at rewarding or benefiting customers in relation to possible purchases by means of commercial material or promotional information sent in printed format, by emails, text messages, MMS or newsletters.

The provision of personal data in line with the aims outlined above at point 2.a. is compulsory, and any refusal to do so will mean that it will be impossible for eLexico to deliver the relevant services.

The provision or personal data in accordance with point 2.b. is optional, and the legal right to process personal data for such purpose is given by means of the customer’s consent.

The user, once the registration procedure (signing up) is complete or once the order form to purchase a service has been submitted, expresses his/her consent to the processing of his/her personal data for the compulsory purposes outlined in point 2.a.

As far as concerns data collected during browsing online (browser information, such as IP number, operating system, date and time of access, etc.), the sending of which is implicit in Internet communication protocols, we refer users to the information on the handling of cookies (cookie policy).

3. Personal data processing methods
The processing of personal data is carried out using paper, computerised and online tools by eLexico staff. In all cases, personal data is processed strictly in connection with the abovementioned aims, safeguarding the security and confidentiality of such data. All personal data is handled and kept in environments where access is limited and constantly controlled.

4. Communication and transmission of data
Personal data specifically required for processing purposes may be communicated to technological and operational partners that the data controller utilises for the services requested; furthermore, data may be processed in a foreign country by individuals and organisations based within the European Union.

For the purchase of our products, data may also be transmitted to companies that handle electronic payments. Such third parties operate as separate data processing organizations.

For the purposes as outlined in point 2.b, personal data may – once the user has given his/her consent – be used by eLexico, be communicated to group companies that may use such data, and also be transmitted to those who have the rights to the database that is the object of the service provided and used by such organisations.

5. Holding of personal data
Personal data may be held for the specific time required to carry out the aims for which the data has been collected and shall not be held for more than the ten-year period foreseen for holding data for civil, tax and accounting purposes.

6. Rights of the data subject
In regard to the handling of personal data, the data subject has the right to obtain:
6.a. confirmation as to whether or not his/her personal data is being held, a clear overview of the data processed and the source of such information, as well as the methods used in the processing;
6.b. the erasure or blocking of any personal data held illegally;
6.c. the updating or rectification of personal data, or, when required, the supplementing of such data;
6.d. confirmation that the operations in points 6.b. and 6.c. have been made known to those who have received the subject’s personal data, as long as this does not prove to be impossible or involve an unreasonable use of resources;
6.e. the data subject also has the right to object to the processing of his/her data, for legitimate reasons, by writing to the data processor.

Any communications relating to the use of personal data should be sent in writing to the company offices of eLexico or by sending an email to info@elexico.com.

In case of any possible breach of the regulations relating to personal data protection, the data subject may lodge a complaint with the competent Italian authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) or with that of any other member state of the European Union where he/she normally resides or where he/she believes a breach has taken place.
